Honestly this kind of hatred has really been bugging the heck out of me and its really sad to see people say horrible things about a group of people based on the actions of a few. I noticed an article about two Muslim men in the UK who killed someone and the comments below the article are disgusting in my opinion. Not surprised however since these type of hatred/ignorance happens in the past but many people are just too blind to see they are repeating history in my opinion. Anyways here's a link to the article and I'll post the disgusting comments made by Yahoo users. Also it should be added that these comments have A SIGNIFICANT more amount of thumbs UP than thumbs down (ex: 120 thumbs up and 5 thumbs down for the most of these comments).
It may not be politically correct to say so but Muslims are a threat.

What do you guys think? Every time I see these type of comments I really wonder if the majority of the people in our world thinks like this -_-. Anyways I always find Yahoo comments to be filled with idiotic old people who rants about our current generation and anything not the norm but what do you guys think? I think I need to stop reading Yahoo comments XD because its VERY disheartening.

It is stupid, but it's happening and it will forever be the case and there is nothing we can do about it.

I swear one of my friends has gone full on racist since the attack happened There's a lot of Muslims in the world, you can't generalise a whole religion just because of a few crazies. I've noticed it only ever happens with Muslims too, you never see people start attacking Christianity when a Christian does something awful
I'm friends with a few Muslims and they're some of the most friendly and tolerant people I know.
All the constant terrorist attacks and other violent crimes done by muslims aren't helpful.
Also some of the muslims flee from countries where the laws are made by their religious book and that are in a ****** condition but then complain their religious book isn't prominent enough in a western country.

Honestly -_- some people and then I remember another Yahoo article where the commenters were saying that we dont need diversity in a society. Like WTF. I swear 75% of Yahoo comments are so stupid that I want to slap my self for reading them XD
Paranoia over attacks by extremists that happen to be Muslim extremists. It's unfortunate that a whole group of people is judged by how a small number of them act.
I'm actually curious as to what was the attitude towards Muslims before 9/11. I don't even remember it I was only like 5 so I wouldn't know.. Was it still bad or were they treated as equals?
- western culture is based on christian roots, which completely opposes Islam, the two religions have a long history of beefs, see the Crusades. Both of them considers itself the one true faith
- xenophobia and irrational fears about islamic immigrants (like the ban of minarets in Switzerland, or the Frensh situation)
- misconseptions about Islamic faith, like Jihad etc
- the growing stereotypes following the famous terrorist attacks of our times, like 9/11
- US is on the side of Israel, so anti-islamic propaganda comes naturally for the US/Western world
- cultural/ethical/moral differences , irreconcilable views about whats right or acceptable,
so on
prartically there are underlaying historical problems, but the main reason is that people are afraid of the islamic culture and feel threatened by it, just beacuse its different from their culture. An these xenophobic attitudes are conserved by the terror attacks and and minor incidents involving muslims which get undeservedly big coverage from the anti-islamic media.
