In a recent interview with Rap-Up, RedOne seemed unsure if he and Gaga would be making more magic for her upcoming album ARTPOP, stating that they’ve done “half a song” together, and that a collaboration in the future “might happen, it might not."
"Uh, not really. Not really. We’ve done half a song, or song, you know. But not that we’re working, absolutely not. It might happen, it might not. We’ll see."
RedOne and Lady Gaga have collaborated on over 13 tracks spread throughout her three album discography, spawning hits like “Poker Face”, “Bad Romance” and most recently, “Scheiße”. Speaking with Swedish news site Aftonbladet back in February, RedOne said that he and Gaga would possibly record together in March if the chemistry was right. Lady Gaga has also confirmed on her social network site that she met with the producer back in 2012.
Do you think he and Gaga finally decided to go their separate ways, or do you think they’ll meet up again for ARTPOP? Let us know on Twitter!
RedOne will forever be regarded as a legend for helping create Poker Face and Bad Romance but I guess it's a good thing that Gaga is evolving and working with different producers this time
I absolutely ADORE RedOne. I can't remember where I read this, but RedOne was the one who told Gaga to start experimenting with more producers for BTW. She was planning on having him produce a large chunk of BTW.
DJ White Shadow, Fernando Garibay, Zedd and Madeon is a killer line-up.
Don't worry, those are not the only producers on ARTPOP
I'm actually glad she's not working with RedOne, she's actually really putting out an artistic vision and her original concept without generic compromising... SHE'S COMING
I was about to say this, I haven't seen a single tweet from him talking about that.
Gaga seems to like having a different producer to guide the sound of each era, RedOne for The Fame (Monster), Garibay for Born This Way and DJWs for ARTPOP.
