I personally like the House of Lords, and having Lords Spiritual are a good thing because they do represent a part of society. Similarly, prominent rabbis and muslim figures are also granted peerage.
I guess so, but I've never really been a fan of religions having any say in laws. It's not like the Lords have much power anymore anyway so no harm done.

Exactly, the Lords don't really have much power in producing bills and various Acts have weakened the power of the Lords.
(I'm not even joking, my politics 40 marker for my exam last week was if the Lords were more powerful than the Commons now Was so happy)
I was in Paris several times and people didn't seem homophobic at all
Not expecting this at all but well... They can have their opinion, even if it's a wrong idea.
Gay Marriage doesn't mean adoption or the end of the world they should worry about other subjects and not be worried if two gay people want to marry.
I will never understand why people like this think other people's equality and happiness will some how effect them in a bad way. Gay marriage won't result in god's wrath, or the "end" of marriage, or demoralization, or marrying animals. It's been legal here for 10 years and we're fine so...
