Which explains why Ashlee is a LOT more successful than Jessica. It's more like Jessica is Ashlee's sister. Although, if Ashlee insists on this new sound she will flop just like Jess.

But Jess is smart going country. The country fan base, if they accept her, which will be the biggest challenge, will be a lot more loyal than a pop fan base. It's like Carrie Underwood, she is so good because she has the AI fan base but a lot of the country fan base does not like her at all. So it's going to be interesting to see how she does.

Well, I know Jess was popular first but once Ashlee came out it's Ashlee that's the bigger star now. Ashlee's stock has gone up and Jess has gone down a lot.

I think they both are pretty much on the same level right now.

I agree with you, they're in the same level right now. But if we look back, Jessica is bigger. I mean, both have one 3X Platinum album, and ONE #1 hit on Pop radio. But while Ashlee has only ONE Top 10 (her second best peak is #15, cooome on ), Jessica has FOUR. And Jessica definitely has sold more albums than Ashlee, knowing her debut is 2X Platinum, and both "Irresistible" and "A Public Affair" are gold (I Am Me is 1X Platinum though).
Not to mention Jessica's fanbase is definitely bigger than Ashlee's - maybe because she came out first, I don't know, but it doesn't change the fact that t is bigger.

Public Affair- The album was poorly received by fans and saw very low sales. It has shipped 500,000 units in the US but has sold less than that. On a worldwide scale its sales have disappointed with figures under 800,000 to date.

So, In this Skin was Jess's biggest selling album but Ashlee's Autobiography did a lot better. But to be fair you have to compare Jess's last 2 albums to Ashlee's last 2 albums because that would be the closest in time range.

So if you compare "In This Skin" to "Autobiography" and "Public Affair" to "I Am Me" Ashlee wins hands down. Once again, both Ashlee and Jessica have albums coming out and once again, Ashlee will bury Jess in album sales.
