Right, it was never going to be successful because at that moment the hate was thick. She could have released High school and it wouldn't resonate.
TBH...as a budget analyst and someone that picks up on marketing skills behind the scenes. I know what's happening now.
She's cold right now because of all the hate in 2012. She's still the top dog but people are not enthused about requesting her on radio. So, even with this quick move to put out the re up it is still clear that she needs to pick up steam in the urban world and the features this year will do just that. Her few features with Alicia and French montana are helping her rep and that helps out High school at little but HS isn't in the top 10 so it's clear a good song like this taking so long to hit is because the audience is tired of her as a main artist. the features with better lyrics will get people's mindset back to 2010...some of the people will get over the hate and by 2014 will be more receptive. that said, I still want her to release I'm legit just to bounce off the hype of I'm out...in the long run i'm legit deserves to be in her singles discography even though it won't perform nearly as well as it should...like HS.
