Sadly Stage IV means the cancer has metastasized to distant and, more than likely, vital organs such as the liver or lungs. Depending on how much it has progressed, there are still a few limited treatments, but for the most part the 5 year survival rate is 8%. My grandmom has Stage I colon cancer. He's in my prayers.
Cancer is a big deal. It's important that everyone has routine check-ups. You never know when something is wrong and it's better to catch it before it's too late.
