Smells Like Teen Spirit is the most influential and most popular rock song of the 90s. It's still popular even up to this day. The recurrent plays, the youtube views, the number of last.fm scrobbles prove that. No Britney song is more iconic and popular than SLTS.
Rock songs always have the advantage to be more embraced by the public, so Baby One More Time stays a classic in the pop world, while Smells Like Teen Spirit is a decade defining song.
Too hard to choose, but Smells Like Teen Spirit is timeless and way ahead of it's time. Baby One More Time has aged horribly, but still one of my favorite Britney songs.
