Quote:
The Boy Scouts of America today voted to lift its longtime ban on admitting gay Scouts but will continue to exclude openly gay adults from leadership roles.

____
Tyrrell was let go as an Ohio den leader of her 8-year-old son Cruz's Cub Scout pack last year because she was gay, but she applauds what she sees as a "temporary" policy..

This is no better or no more a step towards equality than a "Whites Only" section of a restaurant though. It still sends the message that homosexuality is wrong, it's just that they're willing to look away until the kids turn 18. Then they get to be treated as second class citizens again.
Trash organization that I got the top rank from. I was closeted but wish I had come out just for them. They are outdated anyway and don't teach anything relevant anymore.
