If you think that the military and defense budget and expenditure would be significantly less under any other president then you are wrong. This has little to nothing to do with who is in the oval office. Don't forget that two of the most recent infrastructure failures were under Bush (New Orleans levees, I-35 Bridge) if you want to play that card. Besides—and i'm not 100% positive about this next point but wouldn't the respective governing bodies of individual states have a greater responsibility for infrastructure maintenance?

The HUGE bridge by my house with 8 lanes that carries i-71/i-90 was closed to trucks and only four lanes were open for the longest time when they found some structural problems. I thought they weren't ****ing around with this after the collapse of the i-35 bridge..?
