Lol that's not true. The producers are always in the talk what their next move is. Mariah, Keith & Nicki all had a one year contract. And Randy was leaving for sure. They thought about this for a while. Now it's just about making it official.
I understand, but they wouldn't let the cat out of the bag this quick, especially ONE week after the season ended. .
1. A producer, a manager or some sort of big label head
2. A well-established music critic, someone who works for Rolling Stone or something of the sort
3. An ex-contestant, i.e. Kelly (she's the only one I can see doing it tbh)
Absolutely agree. Having three Idol contestants kinda would make the show be perceived even more as a sinking ship whereas having a new big label head would turn the tables, and make the competition even more heated.

Yes. And having a professional critic on board would also help them get actual criticism.
I don't think it will work in favors for ratings since non of them have that star power that bring in ratings like Nicki Minaj or Lady Gaga. But if is the final season, it would be very fitting.
Big names don't bring in big ratings and it's been proven more than once (Idol last season and XFACTOR)
