Carrie is cool and all, but something tells me she'd be dry as a bone as a talking judge. Chris Daughtry would be amazing, but he's not particularly doing anything for radio anymore.

I'm here for 3 judges: Lambert, Hudson, and Kelly. All three have different and infectious personalities, and are probably the most successful from Idol to date (besides Carrie and Daughtry).

People seem to forget Chris Daughtry for a reason who was much more succesfull than Adam and Clive but I guess at the moment Adam is more relevant.

A all American idol judges seems very fitting for the last season of Idol. I really hope Kelly considers this, but she did say once she wouldn't do a show like Idol or x-factor but would do a show like the voice. But it would be very unfortunate to have a all American idol judging panel without the first and most successful Idol.

If they do a past idol judging panel the ratings will drop for sure. Let's be honest. None of the idol have that star power that can pull ratings in. Not Kelly or Carrie. So the ratings will drop. Idol is only being watched these days because of the auditions and after that no one cares anymore.

YES. ADAM, KELLY, AND CARRIE WOULD BE AMAZING!

Those three would totally complete the judging panel, kicking out Keith because we don't need him with those three!

With them changing the format, maybe it would be to her liking? Maybe she would get to do coaching/mentoring. I wouldn't be surprised if Idol tried to go this route to compete with the voice.

Idk about Carrie as a judge. I'd be here for Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson. It would help Chris get back on track. His last album was great and needs another boost in the public eye.

They should have a different Idol alum guest judges from week to week.

I'd rather see a celeb panel of Keith Urban, Mary J Blige & Harry Connick Jr.

They should have an All Star season where all the past winners compete against each other and then call it quits, tbh.

That would only work if the alums without record deals competed. Allison Iraheta, Haley Reinhart, Syesha etc.

Kelly has said in the past that judging people wasn't her thing so I'm taking this as grain of salt

As I've been saying from the X Factor thread, people do not tune in to these shows for the judges. They never have, and they never will. Britney, Demi, Mariah, Nikki, etc. None of them brought ratings.


People watch these shows for the format and the contestants. The Voice is a hit because it's different from Idol... people are into the format of the show. Notice last season the ratings started dropping during the battle rounds? That was a problem with the format that they worked on for this current season. X-Factor USA kept things exactly the same this past season from the previous year, and that's why the ratings dropped again. People aren't into it.

TheVoice is dipping in ratings, and their format is absolutely terrible. Worst of any singing show IMO
