Kelis stays on the cutting edge. For her latest collaboration, she teams with Dan Black in the time-lapsed video for his electro-dance single “Hearts.” The British singer-producer shot his scenes on a rooftop in Paris, while Kelis appears via animated postcards.
The song was originally recorded for Kelis’ upcoming album FOOD, due in September. “After I wrote one of the songs, I thought, this is so where I want to be going with my solo stuff. I just loved it,” Black told ELLE. “So, nervously, I asked her if I could use it, presuming she’d say no. But, magically, she said yes! I am a huge fan of hers.”
