Being from the south, here's what I think she actually meant.
I honestly don't think Miley meant country music meets hip hop music. She said its dance and hip hop with a southern attitude. A southern attitude is a carefree, do what I want attitude (hence her WCS description). So therefor I don't believe she will have a country sounding single, just a southern attitude. I also think the sound will be pop meets hip hop, but I don't think Miley really wants to label herself as a pop artist. She's said before that she doesn't even really like pop music. If any of that makes any since, she will have a pop/hip hop single with a southern, carefree attitude being expressed in the song.
last night (even before last night) she said her music isn't going to lose the hope and inspiration you got from The Climb or any of her old music, she said it has some different beats, but it's real.. Country, Pop, Urban it's nothing really that different
So far what we've learned from BBMA:
-We Can't Stop out June 3rd
-Mike Will produced it
-VERY radio-friendly
-World premiere on Ryan Seacrest and then she's doing a radio tour after that
-Crossover between urban pop and southern pop (although she can't really seem to put her finger on a specific genre)
-She said there's beats and it's definitely dance music
-It's for the fans. The song kinda has a die young message to it

I'm not here for Miley doing a generic dance track... I was hoping for an urban BOP.
Well we have to wait and listen to it. I definitely don't think it's generic.. Not by the way she's describing it. I feel like it's something no one has done before that's why she really can't put it into word but that's just me
Oh well, she even said that Can't Be Tamed (album) was techno and then it wasn't so...
Let's wait and judge by ourselves .) I don't think that someone like tha Mike prudeces generic dance tracks
