You are still trying to deny that I'm a legend
I hope ooh la la that is going to be released on June 16 is gonna make me speechless

Naw...i'm good. I just came from a wedding odd that you mentioned that.
I'm saying you are iconic. Legendary status should not be thrown around so loosely. You'll get there.

Nope. I have about 2-4 more years to make six figures and then I might think about it.
I'm still kiing over the fact that Katie gave me a hard time when i was talking about buying $600 for Queen Britney's FF show and I was read the riot act "...not everyone can afford this..." blah blah blah. I'm not going to apologize for my success but I'm only going to bring it up sparingly to keep it humble/quiet.

She pulled almost 300k in March with FF disastrous performances. She pulled 290k after having her kids taking away two weeks prior and her album leaking 6 weeks prior.
She will be able to pull 300k...it's just can she pull 500k with the right promo, sure.

Nah. Award show performances don't really matter anymore, they hardly do anything for songs anymore. Mainly because they are basic these days, acts don't put in any effort to entice the crowd - just doing it for the hell of it. That's at least in America. The only person who has truly benefited from one in recent times is ADELE. But if she did something like The Brits in UK, it'd be big exposure in that country. Otherwise the VMAs, Billboard, AMAs, etc. they don't do anything for anyone outside the first night bumps. Their ratings are also **** too. It's all about if people like the music in general now.
And for who said she won't do 300k with a "basic song" (are you implying "Gimme More," "Womanizer" and "HIAM" are basic ), that's a lie. She will easily do that in quarter four, no matter what.

They do matter...just not as much as they used to.

And Britney won't ever fully make herself accessible to both genders because her name is Britney Spears. It's too late in her career for people to change their opinions on who she is or their perception of her music. The songs will always have the strong hint of "girly". Besides, males are not predominant buyers. Top 40 radio is geared at women 18-34 and since Top 40 drives majority of digital sales, it works for her. "Womanizer" selling 3.380 million is not because it also appealed to men. The music just needs to be lasting to the listener's mind (like "Till The World Ends," "Circus," etc.). The hip-pop/rhythmic (like "Circus"/"Womanizer") sound will help in that aspect for the next album, because campy songs like "I Wanna Go" and "Ooh La La" don't last long.
|
True. But she can always score fairweathers and bandwagons.
She has her base (stans that will support no matter what) that can get her to sell over 500k...her bandwagons will come if she's perceived as "back"...her fair weathers will support as long as she does what they want.
As long as she goes 1-2x platinum for her last 3 albums this decade then I am fine.
I just need 1-1.5M in sales.

True. She knows it which is why they are making such a personal shift.

Well, FF was to prove she was here to stay after the comeback hype. It wasn't that make or break album. THIS IS MAKE OR BREAK.

They want to make as much money as possible and I'm glad she has freedom to go it her way her last album out with them.

If she has crappy management, her label could spend millions and it won't do much.

True. her management needs to get on it.

Mess but that Barry Weiss guy who is at Interscope right wants to bring her over. She trusts him and they had a great business relationship. She can't deal with new people because they won't treat her right. So, I expect her to go back to Barry once this contract ends.

Let's just see the probable causes for her next era.
1. She'll give us another Blackout album mixed with Circus promotion.
2. Her next era will resemble Circus in a way. Performance and promotion wise.
3. Britney will surprise us all.
|
I do think it will resemble Circus and I wouldn't mind her album being released December 2, 2013 as a 5 year anniversary.

Britney always reinvents herself. This will be progressive.
