I'm not trying to be a "defender". I don't even own a wiiu, I'm just trying to paint light on the situation that the OP did not.

But, they're still making a really bad decision in taking all the profit despite them not doing the absolute worst thing you can do (ban all gameplay video).

If the public outcry is large enough, hopefully they will make a deal that benefits both themselves and the editors. Also are we sure that it is all the profit? I know side ads and banner ads can generate revenue for the video's owner, all I read was that Nintendo was adding ads that would be placed in the beginning of the videos and no mention of the other ads.

No, it really isn't and the law Nintendo is breaking agrees.

Nintendo isn't blocking the videos or removing any channels, you're being overdramatic.
