GT2 was the best in terms of pushing boundaries. GT3 had me blown away with the graphics. Tbh, I was pretty disappointed with GT5, since the graphics were poor on the PS3.

I agree, partially. PD toned down the graphics from GT5P but that's understandable considering the amount of vehicles in GT5. However, it is a stunning game (La Sarthe and Nurbugring at sunset = beautiful).
GT6 seems to have minor improvements in graphics: smooth shadows, leaves on the track(s), scenery changes etc. and with the tessellation method of creating new vehicles, we should be seeing higher quality rendering.
