She's not showing shoulder, her neckline is not lower, her dress is not tight at all


There are modest decorations on the bottom of her dress but she and her dress are not glammed and shiny-d up as with the illustrations. Live action Merida here is not 100% spot on with the movie Merida, but much closer to the movie Merida and further from the Disney illustrations.

The only difference I see is the lighter dress, different facial expression and what looks to be some mild makeup (eyes, cheeks, lips). I'm all for fighting against oversexualized imagery for children (who don't understand the weight and purpose of the imagery), but this isn't really a problem.

I guess she's a bit thinner... If you look really, really closely...
