It seems Simon wants his own latin star like American Idol had last year and Shakira on The Voice this year. I don't think it'll work though. I'm not sure Paulina is a big enough star to pull in viewers.

She doesn't really have to be that big to pull viewers. Off-topic, she's currently judging The Voice: Kids on Telemundo and the show break records for that network beating Fox in NYC and Miami.
