I just hope everything shuts down, the end. I don't understand why people long for this eternity nonsense.
There's a great episode of the old Twilight Zone about this. In it, this bank robber gets shot by the police and dies. Upon dying, he is greeted by his guardian angel and taken to a big, luxurious house. He is told he can have whatever he desires. The man is elated that he has gone to Heaven and spends a vast amount of time wishing for various woman in his bedroom, endless amounts of cash and jewels and even doing some bank robberies. Eventually he begins to grow tired of it all, the money is meaningless, he gets bored with the women and he finds no point in doing the robberies knowing he cannot die.
Finally he summons his guardian angel and begins to question why he is there. Eventually the angel takes him to a record room where they go over the man's "file". The angel begins to read from it, at age 5 he stole a bicycle, age 8 he started shoplifting, age 12 he killed a dog etc. The man asks "I was nothing but a scumbag my whole life, so how did I end up in Heaven instead of 'the other place'?" The angel laughs and responds "This is the 'other place"
Kind of a neat way of exposing a problem with an "eternal happiness" afterlife concept.
