First Final Destination death I ever saw, would never tan ever because of that. I was ready to argue over the OP's opinion w/ the tanning deaths.
I thought the same until I actually started tanning maybe the laying beds are different, but the standing bed that I use has a stop button and doors that shut only by magnets. I always leave one slightly open just to be safe so nothing could really happen.
Mmm I don't know, I think the intial premonition scene in Final Destination with the plane is the most iconic. Or the pile up. Unless you were talking about individual death scenes.

Yeah, the tanning beds are the most memorable, but it's because the scene is essentially humours. Two dumb blondes die mercilessly in their quest of pursuing beauty. The cut from the burning, screaming beds to their coffins makes it even more priceless.
I actually find the very first death of the series (Tod's hanging/slipping on the tub) the saddest one.
