I have never read the books or watched the movie but a couple of people told me the books are actually decent and the movies just gave them a horrible reputation because they were cheaply made.But as I said this is just what I heard.Maybe the books aren't that horrible

Well, I've read 2 books and it's basically on the level of My Immortal fanfiction, really. The story is cute but the writing is, oh my god, so bad.
