When you produce 8/13 tracks on an album including two of its three biggest singles I think you can count it under production credits. Regardless, without counting fergie's album it would still be over 100 million.

It's not that surprising at all when you're sticking in all of his featured credits, productions, and his parts in a band of four total artists (and don't say nobody knows the others - that might be true to some extent for two, but not for Fergie). His sales as a solo artist are respectable enough, since he has the power to chart at all as a solo artist and that alone deserves recognition, but he's definitely not among the best sellers ever.

1. Why is The Dutchess counted? He only produced a couple of songs - there are MANY other producers that were part of the album. So that right there counts off.

I'll budge and say the producing counts, but even that can be held away from him, as well.
