Most of the games you guys mentioned like Zelda and Bomberman are fantastic as well, but these four games pop into my mind before anything else. Each game had me obsessed for at least three whole years.

game nowadays is all about graphic, with bad gameplay and stories(!!!)...
well maybe american gamer didn't really care about stories .. but rpg players like me
