One must ask the question, when does celebrity protection take it too far? Is it really fair that the entire crowd at the Rose Bar needed to be watched and gawked at by secret service for the duration of their Thursday night happy hour? The pop star called some more attention to herself towards the end of her stay by singing “Someone to watch over me” with the band, which elicited a warm applause from audience members who probably didn’t even know she was there until she sang.
That reads quite one-sided and agenda-filled, to be honest.
If nobody was paying attention to her, I doubt her security would be checking phones/cameras. It'd surely be kind of obvious if people were filming her or filming the band.
Sounds like she was incredibly rude. Checking random people for cameras?
What right does she have to do that
It is rude. But if I had a choice between having my phone taken away for 10 minutes, and seeing any major recording artist perform 10 feet away from me (whether it be katy perry, rihanna, gaga, britney, etc.) More often then not, I think I would just surrender my phone and be happy I had the experience.
