I've had teachers like this. It's funny though because I had one teacher, who I had 3 years in a row in high school) who did nothing but talk to us about what we were learning, joke around about it, and every teacher hated her because they thought noone was "learning" in her class because she never gave us homework and she never gave us packets of work to do out of the book. Plus it would be 10 minutes before she'd even start discussing anything. Before that she would just talk to kids about how things were going, etc.
Then every year test results would come back and she'd have the highest scores. Keeping others pressed.
What's disheartening about this video is the reaction from the teacher. She doesn't do a god damn thing to try and engage her students. She gives them packets and just assumes that this and giving them a book to read is all that is needed for kids to learn. Instead of listening to someone who actually understands what's going on, she practically ignores him and wants to continue being a terrible teacher and collecting a paycheck. Instead of attempting to explain herself or even fight back, she basically proves him right by not bothering and just telling him to leave. No effort is made from her at all.
I mean, the entire basis of education starts with teachers. Good teaching can inspire students and can actually engage them and make them want to learn. The problem is that there's not enough people who want to put in the work needed to inspire and engage, and there's many more teachers that just want to collect a paycheck and go home like the teacher shown here. THIS is why test scores are dropping and more and more students are dropping out of high school and college. It all starts with the teaching...or lack thereof.
Yes @ this post. The teachers who hand out packets all day deserve a special place in useless teacher hell.

Teachers like her get on my damn nerves i had one just like her and on top of that was a real bitch.
He shouldnt do this in front of a full class.
