It sickens me at some of the comments about her, though

there is no bitter bone in her body - she is literally an angel sent from heaven. She does no wrong. Out of all the musicians, I don't see how she can be hated so much.

This sexist backlash nonsense about her dating X number of people is such a stupid double standard, it's just mind boggling to me.

I realize being female in the entertainment industry means both your looks and your love life and completely open to scrutiny by the public, but if hurling sexist, shaming jokes and insults is how the public reacts to a girl exercising her capacity to explore young adult romance (it's not as if she was even doing anything ~*over the top*~ like seeing multiple guys at once), then the public has a lot to learn.

And the fact that somewhat respected publications like US Weekly and Billboard buy into this is all kinds of disturbing. Sort of like giving the green light to overall public shaming (via twitter for example where top tweets about her are always by some body and ****shaming sexist funnymen).

I am willing to admit that there are lots of "problematic" things about Taylor and her persona (like DripDrip said) but her right to be young and date should not be one of them. But in our society`s eyes it is a capital crime.

jk! i'm glad one of her real friends stepped out and defended her. katy just went ahead and dated one of her exes, she loves taylor soooo much tho. that's why she's never said anything in her defense. which is super lame because real home-girls are supposed to stick together and stick up for each other!

I think people do know Taylor Swift isnt any kind of sIut, but she needs to deal with negative media or misconceptions correctly. Every single artist has some sort of false representation of themselves, but it seems Taylor is the only being constantly being a baby about it by showing it hurts her. It just makes it worse.

taylor gets a lot of hate because she's very successful. all successful acts go thru this. the more successful you are, the more hate you'll get. look at MJ, people tried tearing him down even before the molestation charges. Beyonce and tons of other people get hate for the same reason. i know her cashing in on the jerks she's dated doesn't help her, but if it was somebody else's favorite and a man; that person would get a pass.

People care so much about it because she's one of the worlds biggest stars. Plus, I love her, but her reputation is on the table, so it's not like it can't be expected. But sometimes people do care too much.
