I still have hope that the video will help a lot but for now, it does seem that the video is failing to bring attention to the song.

Well it was uploaded at 3 in the morning with barely any announcement. It obviously didn't generate a lot of hype. Vevo isn't giving it a banner so there goes that. It's not going to help that much at all.

It'll definitely help in the long run, it just doesn't look like we can rely on the video to help the song catch on. As I said, maybe Epic is aiming for the video to catch on next week
What's a VEVO banner? When I open my VEVO app Avril is right there..
I think it refers to a banner ad on other VEVO videos. If you notice when you watch official music videos on YT, there will be a banner around the video player advertising a new video release.
If you have adblock you won't seem them though, but they do help generate attention and views to new videos.
