Rihanna rocks the iHype Music Awards
Rihanna took to the iHype Music Awards stage to open the show.
The performance began with fog pouring over the stage and into the audience while a violin version of the Black Butterflies intro played. Rihanna's silhouette appeared above the stage as butterfly wings appeared from behind her. The stage slowly illuminated, revealing a stage set with African field grass and African dressed dancers laying on the ground. Rihanna belted the intro of Black Butterflies over an acoustic rendition of the song before the screen dropped and revealed Rihanna in a skin tight black lace bodysuit and mask. She flew down onto the main stage and continued the original version of Black Butterflies, up until the bridge which then faded into a medley of her past hits including 'Dress (Take It Off)' and Hypnotized'. She and her dancers completed a 8 minute performance.
The crowd reception was great and stars after the show hailed Rihanna's performance calling it "The best of the night" and calling Rihanna "The greatest star out there".
