Hippos are the most dangerous big animals in Africa.. They're very territorial. They are shy on land but very dangerous underwater. Even a Nile crocodile knows how to give way to a hippo as a hippo can easily bite a crocodile into half. They also have very thick hide that is immune from lion bites.

They weigh about a ton and equipped with deadly weapons that's why they can easily kill a lion but lions are smart and know not to get in the way of these two animals though sometimes they try to prey on them but don't succeed. Hippos and buffalos are actually more dangerous to people than lions due to their unpredictable behavior. They kill more people every year in Africa than lions do. Rhinos are usually passive and would just run away instead of charge.
