While the 2013 punk-themed Met Gala certainly didn't disappoint with fab fashions, there were certain guests whose looks were more chaotic than couture.
Some gals ignored the theme altogether, like Elle Fanning, whose psychedelic tie-dye print Rodarte dress and matching multihued eye makeup had us scratching our heads
Katy Perry's bizarre Dolce and Gabbana crown-and-embellished-dress combo also felt more baroque than punk, and we didn't quite buy the explanation she gave Vogue about "channeling the original queen of punk, Joan of Arc."
And then there were those who were a little too enthusiastic in embracing the punk-inspired looks, like Madonna, whose over-the-top combination of fishnet, plaid and studs felt a little overkill. Not to mention the fact that she forgot to wear pants!

The risk-taking teen's psychedelic tie-die swirl print Rodarte dress had our heads spinning, as did her technicolor eye makeup.
2. Madonna
Looks like the Material Girl forgot a whole lot of material with this bum-baring Riccardo Tisci ensemble that showed off her, ahem, assets.
3. Katy Perry
We weren't hailing the queen of over-the-top outfits in her Dolce and Gabbana crown and embellished dress.
4. Mary-Kate Olsen
Sure, the petite designer is known for her boho cool look, but her robe-like coat and deadlock-inspired hair took her signature style a little too far.
5. Zandra Rhodes
The Brit fashion designer's get-up was more chaotic than couture-like with its out-there combination of tattered fabric, ribbon and chains.
6. Kristen Stewart
With her trademark edgy look, we thought the Twilight star would have one of the best looks at the punk-themed evening, but her Stella McCartney jumpsuit with its unflattering silhouetted failed to impress.
7. Karlie Kloss
The gorgeous model's Louis Vuitton gown felt like it belonged in a period drama thanks to baroque-like detailing.
8. Julie Macklowe
The socialite's punky look made us want to riot with its shocking pink shade and one too many spikes.
9. Gisele Bundchen
Sure, the supermodel has a fab figure, but this skimpy dress looked like one wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.
