We all know The Lord Taylor Swift hasn't had a very good 2013 (The irony here being her lucky number is 13), despite having enormous success with I Knew You Were Holy Trouble, her Red Tour and other endorsements (Sony, Diet Coke) she has fallen victim to relentless online hate. Over the recent months the hate towards her has escalated to extreme proportions. It's virtually impossible to go anywhere on the internet and avoid an article bashing her, weather it be on Yahoo, Huffington Post (although they have posted a couple of defence articles about her) and even spark notes of all places. The 'Taylor Swift' tags on Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter are constantly filled with disgusting comments and
here's just a few of the many, many, many things said about her.

And the list goes on and on and on.
I know almost every celebrity gets hate these days, as it's so easy to hide behind the anonymity of the internet, but this is seriously so bad. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 6 months, you'd have noticed it to.

So my question to you is, do you think Taylor deserves this? or are you appalled at how majority of the internet is treating her? Discuss.

P.S it's also not just the internet dragging her, Radio DJ's, TV Presenters and even a couple of celebrities have joined the bandwagon.

Those people just jealous of her success and sexual life.
They know less people than Taylor had sex with.

but I think Taylor should have known that this would happen to her with all that has happened(the controversies with many boyfriends)
and the facts that supported them.

However(as far as I know), I don't see her whining about the rude comments, so she remains unbothered.

Thing is, if she was a man, nobody would care less about her dating life.. i mean i don't see any comments about Mick Jagger havin tons of girls, cheated his wife, stole his friend's girl..or niether to Harry..didn't he dated a 30 years old woman when she was only 15-16? Isn't now he dating a mum? But none of those men are treated like Taylor...

Exactly! That's what I love about taylor right now. Instead of doing a justin bieber and posting some massive long rant about how unfair it is, she just sucks it up and deals with it in private

I'm not a stan of hers, I only got into her due to her latest album, which I love, and I'm from the Netherlands, so I haven't really noticed any of the hate yet. People seem to love her here, but they sometimes crack jokes about her number of relationships, nothing else tbh.

I'm surprised tbh, cuz I thought she was the darling of the US. I take it this is recent? Is this a global thing?

She is so huge now so of course there will be some loudmouths i am a bit bothered by the sexism part of it but whatever.

She does leave herself open with her confessional style of songwriting...especially when she decides to date some ugly teen idol.

But still...huge sold out tour, 5 time plat album, smash hits. What is there really to complain about?

No, I'm not disgusted. She asked for this so therefor she deserves it. Just my opinion. I don't think I'd ever waste sympathy on her when there are people out there who actually deserve it.

Yes I'm aware of that, as I said in the OP. but no what you said is wrong for this moment. I'm pretty sure someone like, for example, Katy isn't the laughing stock of the whole world atm. Does she have hundreds of tumblr pages dedicated to making fun of her? Does she even have tweets that full on about her? No I didn't think so.

Every singer has this issue. Taylor's isn't anything special, it's just a case of people having too much time on their hands.

Guys, it's obvious that every singer has haters, bbut i don't see any comments like this to some girls who spread around more than Taylor, some of them are even mature woman who find a new man after a week of the divorce or break-up :/ Instead they say that Taylor changes boys like she changes underwears, but she's single since January mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
