Celeb News: Bieber 2 hours late to Dubai concert

Justin Bieber arrived on stage over two hours late for his Dubai concert last night (May 4).

The 'Beauty And A Beat' singer angered fans and parents by failing to appear on time at the Sevens Stadium as part of his 'Believe World Tour'.

The waiting audience began to boo the star as organisers told the crowd between 8pm and 10pm that Bieber "was on his way", al Arabiya reports.

Many parents have since complained about their children being kept awake until the early hours since Sunday is a school day in Dubai.

Rachael Quborsi told Sky News that her 11-year-old daughter only returned home from the concert at 12.45am.

"I think it is disgusting that he can be over two hours late and he keeps on doing it. Who do these popstars think they are?" she said.

Bieber's late arrival comes after he kept fans waiting two hours at the O2 Arena on March 4 during his disastrous week in London. (source)

There's a difference being late as couple of minutes late and HOURS late... And it's freaking Justin Bieber not Madonna, Bruce Springsteen or U2... He started his career yesterday and act like he was a 10 year establish superstars...

I was reading his Twitter yesterday and noticed loads of tweets about his Dubai date, days prior. One of the latest tweets I read was about him and the boys / team going out. He probably was hungover, high or something. Observational guess.

The average demographic for a Madonna or Bruce Springsteen is going to be a lot older than for a Justin Bieber concert. While Madonna being late is not necessarily excusable, at the end of the day she's playing to a crowd of people that's going to be ranging mostly from people in their 20s to people in their 50s and above.

Bieber's concert demographic is more likely to be filled with kids ranging anywhere from elementary school to early/mid teens. It's a lot more of a dick move to keep a bunch of kids waiting than a bunch of grown adults.

It's really rude and it always will be, no matter how famous and established you are. People expect you to perform at a certain time and have other things to do
