Okay, here is my problem. I bought a dress a while back and hadn't bothered to get it out of the closet til last night. When I got the dress out, I saw that it still had those metal detector tags on the dress. Wthell? I thought about going back to the store and asking them to take it off, but I don't have the receipt anymore. What am I suppose to do with this? Anyone know how to take the tag off without damaging the dress?

You're just going to have to call the store and ask if they'll do it, and if they say no then you have to get really mad and say that it's their fault for forgetting to remove the tag, and you didn't keep the receipt because you didn't plan to return it. Hopefully a good store manager will understand. Did you buy it recently enough that you remember the cashier? That could help too.

yeah that happened to me when i bought a belt from Hot Topic and trust me i don't buy things from there my friend told me to buy one lol and i did and they didn't take it off so it took us like a hammer 2 break that succer off...and the ink or whatever it was didn't get on my belt lol it got on my friends clothes though lol he was pissed...but yeah they should understand that they have stupid workers that forget to take them off...

I swear I didn't steal it. I don't remember it setting off the metal detactors, though. It was a while back. Lazy workers these days.~_~

That's happened to me before I bought this really nice pair of pants and found the detector tag still on when I went to put them on and of course I already lost the receipt so I went to my friend that works in retail an was able to get them to try to take the tag off at their store and it worked... i don't if it would work like that at all other stores but if you know somebody its probably worth a try.
