I have actually watched both and iCarly sometimes tries so desperately to be funny and it fails while Zoey 101 is more chilled out and entertaining and not all over the top and overacted like other kids shows.

Well... you cannot expect them to reach the high levels of The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Sister & Sister, Space Cases, Clarissa Explains It All or Kenan & Kel. Nickelodeon's been uninspired for a long time.
