The stream won't be earlier than this sunday, there's an "exclusive" listening party in NZ that day. They'll announce the stream tomorrow, and I suppose it will be up on the 6th.

I still don't understand that whole streaming thing.
Do they do that for all albums nowadays? And doesn't that affect its sales?

^They did it with 1D's Take Me Home a week before the release. The only thing we know about the possible stream it's Chachi tweet :S

i know JT and 1D did it. i think most people don't know how to rip from itunes, so i don't think it'll have a huge affect on sales.

maybe the hope is that people will listen to the stream, love the album, and then impulsively buy it on itunes? idk i almost bought JT's album when i was listening to the stream for it.

These days people mainly buy singles, and need to be pushed for te album. Platforms as Spotify work well for "preview usage", but youtube or ITunes in this case can have the same effect beforehand.
It will be a good way to gain extra exposure for the album, since everybody will be able to stream it, just a select amount of people will find links to download it. But most of the GP who will buy it or atleast consider it, will not even download it illegally just stream it

A lot of retailers here in Spain put the album on preorder today, but none of them has snippets...Maybe in other countries online music stores

Yeah those albums went WAYY up in pre-order positions once the streaming happened. I think it's a good idea also.

I think it means since the streaming is through iTunes if people like what they hear they can pre-order straight away
