Lance Bass: "At least one One Directioner is gay!"

Does Lance Bass know something we don't?
In a recent interview on The Rubin Report, the former N*Sync member was quick to talk about gay NBA player Jason Collins AND to call out One Direction's probable homosexuality.
Lance admitted that he thinks it's harder for someone in a boy band to come out than someone in sports because their image is based on selling a fantasy to young women. He said that there's pressure not to have a girlfriend, let alone a boyfriend. Back in the early 2000s, Lance was afraid he would ruin the careers of his bandmates if anyone found out he was gay.
Lance used 1D as a current example, saying that statistically at least one member of the group is probably gay. Of course, he didn't say which one he thought it could be though. We'll keep our guess a secret too!
What do you think would happen if one of the One Direction guys came out as gay? Would the band lose fans? Or gain a whole new group of them? Or would the world say a big, "Whatevs"?
Just because you are gay and is from a boy band, doesn't mean someone from another boy band is gay.
Oh, I thought he was a presenter or something.
