Kanye's new album is done; sounds "dark and gritty"
Kanye West’s upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live has led to speculation that he may soon announce his sixth solo album, the follow-up to 2010′s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. According to New York City radio DJ Peter Rosenberg, the album is in fact complete, and West’s record label Def Jam recently hosted a listening party. Rosenberg went on to describe the album as “dark.”
I hope it isn't as heavy as MBDTF. I love that album and it's his masterpiece but it was extremely self-indulgent and wasn't designed for commercial appeal or radio play at all. I kinda want something along the lines of 2013 College Drop Out; something both refreshing and with more widespread appeal. Something I can appreciate for it's lyrics and production while also easy to listen to.
I hope this isn't MBDTF Part II though.
