Girls, I just remember this. One time I was on TC (blah blah blah, yeah), there was a poll about "EHC vs. Enchanted", the kids voted EHC. I guess it will be a decent hit with the tweens/teens demographic then.
The more I think about it the happier I am about EHC
We all said she needed to release a slower song as a single, & also not another breakup song. (although I'd much prefer the superior Treachersus)
It's really not a bad song, just not the best, and it could be a great album seller
I want the radio version to edit some of the "I just wanna know you better" lines, they repeat that line way too much

Yes, and these are the people that are going to buy the albums.

there will be no radio edit.
they will not cut out that glorious hook.
And, EHC is actually really good, now that I've been listening to it all day. Their voices sound great together. The production is different and sounds really cool, and it's classic Taylor lyrics. I can't wait to see what it does for RED.
EHC is such a surprise. She definitely needed a slow pop song, even though its one of the most country songs on the album I wonder if they knew Billboard wouldn't chart EHC on HCS, or if it just ****ed their crossover plans up?! I'm happy about EHC, I've always liked the song, and I'm glad that its tinged with folk. It will help her in the long run. As long as they never hear the line about pouring rain
At least one song from the trinity needs to be released though. I will have a meltdown, if not
#thatPower will fall, and Selena, Demi, Blake and Fall Out Boy all fluctuate a lot.
Things are lining up quite nicely for "22." It gets a boost every weekend, and Trouble is finally slowing down on radio and the Billboard awards are coming and they put it on Spotify.

Umm EHC is a great single. It'll be a hit in the teen demography just because of their names, but it will also sell the album to the older crowd. It will slay AC and push sacRED to 5m in the US. It will also go Top 5 on Pop, radio is warming up with Ed and they will need a slower, acoustic song to counter all the summer dance-pop.
The problem here is country. Unless they pull a double release with ATW/Treacherous/HG (which would be a waste of potential, but I'll take whatever saves Her album sales) I don't know how accepting radio will be of Ed.
When will HDC MV be released?
It will peak on Country airplay soon
Release it when it reaches #1 there so it can peak at #1 on HCS?
Or maybe all they want is longevity, and then release it to HAC and AC
I read it on wiki, critic said it could be collaboration of the year, so I think BMR will do something more than leave it as country single only

I kind of feel like the Red era is just like Speak Now. A lot of you were going crazy over Enchanted never becoming a single and saying you were going to jump ship and stuff and most people found some type of complaint in the singles. The difference was, during the Speak Now era ya'll didn't care so much about single success and crap like that. Sure there were meltdowns but there were fabulous music discussions occurring. People in the base were sharing their favorite music, sharing cool reviews, sharing insights on the current state of the music industry and pop culture in general. I think this base has lost too much of that and got kinda power hungry. Honestly despite the pop songs, I'm really proud of Taylor for red and the great songs she's written. I don't care whether or not they are singles. Her album has sold 5,000,000 and that is something to be proud of. And on the upside they have no choice but to release either Treacherous, Holy Ground, or State of Grace eventually.

With EHC and state of grace (pleasee ) as singles the album sales will rise again. Red will sell 5 million + in the US. I think after EHC they should release State Of Grace to all formats and release it internationally and release Atw to country and then make way for the rerelease of the cf song or something
The problem I have with the current era is Her being so commercialised. And trying to appeal to everyone that makes Her lost some of Her quirks (what made Her appealing and interesting at the first place). And giving a wrong projection to the public with pushing the Pop singles to no end. Girlfriend needs to choose, longevity/acclaims/respect or short-term success. Can't have both. And didn't She say it herself that She will always go on full force in music? Listening to sacRED feels like She's holding back. She bores me a bit these days. Her tricks only work for the kiddies, not moi. Then again, I'm a heartless bastard.
And now we have a special rules for Fan Base, so we can't really go off-topic as often as we used to.
