no.
this is a drug, and as a drug must be taken... i hate going to the park and watching 15 years old kids smoking next to 3-4 year old kids, that view is as nasty as drinking in the street or smoking cigarettes, plus smells bad, kill neurons, is addicted.
on the other way i know the countries would take taxes on it, but never would limit the use.. for me someone high is as someone drunk driving a car, you don't feel 'normal' so you can act stupid
and about the cartels .. who would know that legalizing would stop killing people for drugs? if they don't sell pot, they'll sell cocaine, what's the matter? they'll still be planting illegal things to take profit of it.. then we should legalize everything, even child work!
for me legalizding marihuana is not the answer, then a lot of junk people with cancer and new diseases caused by these new drugs (you know that people want to take the biggest profit of it, they would mix with other substances to improve the effects, etc .. once you start smoking and you know how much do you can take, you start trying to other things, it's human being) would be saying that the whole country is guilty of their decease, as now cocaine junks do.
sorry, but i never putted the cocaine in your nose, neither that cigarette on your mouth.. you had options, you choosed, and now i'm not guilty of you for being ill so don't ask me for money to keep druging or trying to scape of that world.

People saying no should also be against coffee/alcohol/smoking/energy drinks cuz they are addictive as well and most of those are worse for your health than weed

I would up for legalization of marijuana if it was still illegal to smoke in the streets because the amount of people smoking it for the first year would be unbearable.
It makes no sense to me that alcohol is legal when marijuana is not though, because alcohol ****s up your body way more than marijuana does, and it certainly does change a person's behavior, many times for the worse. I mean, all marijuana does is get you relaxed when alcohol gets some people violent.

it seems like many of the people opposed to its legalization (or even decriminalization) have had bad subjective experience with it, such as shady dealers, addictive personalities, etc.
to the AVERAGE human being however, weed poses as little a threat as any other plant based drug. this is one of those situations where it all depends on the user- some people can control inhibitions and addictions while others can't. with alcohol, regardless of the user, EVERYONE gets drunk and silly. as a frequent smoker for two years now, you wouldn't be able to know whether i was high or not. i can drive, multitask, reason and converse with people even when i'm high as a kite.
like it's been said many times before in this thread, the way the Netherlands conducts marijuana distribution and use is a prime example of the right way to do it. and this way, you know you wouldn't be getting shoddy product from some one-time dealer that you barely know. for me at least, i know my dealers personally and know for a fact that they are selling me prime product and being 100% honest with me.
decriminalize it.

Yes but there should be some laws to keep children from being exposed to it.

I dont know how people say alcohol is more harmful than marijuana? They both impair you, in different ways, but still. I couldnt imagine smoking and then operating a vehicle (I smoked once and my friend, who also smoked, drove and it was a weird experience to say the least). Marijuana expands my mind, but it makes me dumber at the same time. It should be decriminalized, but legal? I dont think so.

Seriously?
Alcohol can destroy your liver. Weed does not possess any harm to your health.

"he had a car accident while he was stoned" or "he raped someone while he was stoned" said no-one ever.

Alcohol is a drug and its legal, it has killed millions due to drunk driving, mothers drinking it while pregnant, destroyed families and young people. Cigarettes are legal, and it has been a huge factor in lung cancer and other health issues, it has major harmful carcinogens, and it causes issues with second hand smoke. Marijuana is the tamest of these drugs. Don't even get me started on drugs made at home like meth, which is one of the most dangerous drugs ever.

If it's gonna be legalized, there should be an age restriction. I'm not here for 15 year olds getting "trippy and ****". Like, no.
