With the Dance movement about to hit hard she was in such a great position. Why they decided to ditch all of that for Motivation I'll never know
But with this album it's been pretty consistent with material. It's all about that sensual R&B. Her production is much better this time around. I hope for better results this time around.

the problem was that commader (and DFW then)had a modest success and the others singles flopped !so they decide to return to her r&b roots!anyway i agree there was not direction , too much time recording without a concept ! except for "having a hit" , i'm still curious about that track with pitbull she recorded!

If you've actually followed Kelly's career, you'd know things weren't that smooth with "Commander" or 'Here I Am'. "Commander" was a moderate hit in the UK, but it wasn't massive there and barely a moderate hits anywhere else. It flopped in the US. They didn't ditch anything in favor of "Motivation," they actually released a bunch of singles here in the US hoping something would catch on to launch the album both in the UK/Europe and the US. I'm guessing they didnt want to pull a Nicole Scherzinger and say "fu-k the US" because they couldn't garner a hit and only release the album in Europe/the UK.
They released like three or four singles before "Motivation" and by that point they had given up on the album. It was supposed to be shelved, hence why her team took the UK X-Factor gig and signed her up for so much international stuff. BUT, surprisingly to them and everyone, "Motivation" smashed unexpectedly and they simply didnt know how to handle that. That's why they rushed out 'Here I Am' and she was too tied up in the UK to properly promote it.

You are right about that though, but yeah in EU she easily could have done some more if they focused a bit more and would have done more dance with a Ms. Kelly Deluxe approach, instead of the International re-release, that did nothing, sadly.

If you actually followed her career then you wouldve known that Commander was NEVER releases in the US! It was never sent to US radio. They released RCG and GW in the US.
+ Commander was not a minor hit, it seemed like that in the beggining but it went on to be one of her biggest if not her biggest solo hit after Stole. It stayed in the chart for so long and is one of her best selling singles.

Commander got people all hyped up, she had so much buzz but after FAAD came out everybody wasn't that hyped up anymore and FAAD became her first flop in the UK EVER! Which is super weird to me cause FAAD ***** ALL OVER Commander! The vocals c'mon!! She shouldve released the Pitbul track!

I have a feeling now with all the attention she is getting in the US she could get a hit with a pop/dance song, it is too late now though cause Kelly is back to her roots and I am glad with that!

Now if Talk a Good Game will establish her as a solo artist it will be easier to crossover because Rhythmic is supporting her!
But let's see what will be with TAGG! I have a feeling that it will be her breakthrough!

"Commander" was a minor hit. A hit, yes, but it wasnt massive there. It just simply wasnt. "WLTO" was massive, "Commander" wasnt. Its obviously one of her biggest hits there being that it went top 10 in the UK, but elsewhere in Europe it barely made it into the top 20 of a lot of official charts.

I never said things were smooth with Commander. i said when it came out it blew everyone's mind. And it did. In other words she had a lot of hype surrounding her. I'm aware of its top ten chart success and the failures of FAD, GW, & RCG. I do however still feel that they abandoned a more dance oriented album in favor for a more RNB one. Up to now we still haven't heard the Pitbull collaboration or the supposed Calvin Harris track.
Anyways, where is the album cover?
