Synopsis:
Only apart of the standard version of Back to Black in the UK and Ireland, "Addicted" was a bonus track in pretty much every other pressing of the album. Amy starts off the short song talking about her love for weed, but then starts to hit home with deeper lyrics like "I'm my own man, so when will you learn, that you got a man but I got to burn" and "don't make no difference if I end up alone, I'd rather have myself and smoke my homegrown". It definitely serves as a grim closer to Back to Black, because Amy starts off the album refusing to go to rehab and ends it admitting that she has a drug problem. The weed she talks about is obviously a euphemism for much more serious drugs.
Voter Response:
Early on in the voting period, "Addicted" was sitting pretty in the top ten. However, as the voting period went on and it continued to get more and more scores of sixes and sevens, it gradually fell all the way out of the top twenty.
I don't get the hate for "**** You." There are some rather witty moments in there, and the rest of it that appeals to the audience's baser sense of humor is fun if you let it be.

What about those animal noises though?

I think I had talked to my grandpa that day and was feeling extra liberal. C'est la vie.
