The only good thing about Madonna's performance was the intro (the golden chair and everything). Her collaborators (LMFAO, M.I.A. and Nicki) pretty much ruined the rest.
Madonna's was big on show, lights, staging, being trendy (LMFAO, Ceelo, GMAYL ) This was all more apparent due to her lipsinging. But it was very exciting.
Beyonce's was all about performing, live singing, and energy which is why most cited the energy of her performance as the reason for the blackout, as oppose to the actual lights.
Madonna's intro and Vogue bit was amazing but the rest wasn't as good as her usual live shows, most likely because of the collaborators on stage and the lack of energy in the air. Bijonse's was great overall despite the transition between songs being awkward and without proper flow.
Still it's great to hear about the 2 Queens living up to their names and being the commanding women they are behind the scenes. I wish they acknowledged each other's greatness more.
Beys performance was so uninspired, she just did what she always does, some singing and booty shaking. Madonna tried to do it more theatrical and it worked untill LMFAO and GMAYL performances ruined the whole show for me. Still, I find Madonnas performance much more memorable than Beys.

I loved the LMFAO part it showed she doesn't take herself so seriously unlike other artists
I LOVED madonna's intro and ending and basically everything that is MADONNA, and not anyone else. she's her best when she's on that stage on her own doing her OWN thing. I've seen her do better, but the intro alone is visually and creatively one of the best spectacles the superbowl has ever had. No doubt about that.
beyonce has a lot of energy and can shake her butt. but artistically she is often a letdown and just doesn't interest me whatsoever.
like I already said before.. both women are very different. beyonce is more like tina turner while madonna is more about theatre.. she's bowie and dietrich all in one. (when she's at her best.)
and also like swag said: there's charm in an artist as big as madonna to not take herself so seriously. she turned down a lot of legends and I like that she's not pretentious and can be very "oh **** it, let's just have some fun".
I mean the whole intro is so ridiculous if you think about it, but that's just her sense of humor. if you notice she always pokes fun at everything going on in the media about her. that's why I love her.

Bey performance was better because It was Bey's performance... Madonna was good too but not exciting .. lip sync, Cee lo green, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, MIA ..? ? ? The Queen Of Pop ?
I hope Gaga will perform one day I am sure she will pull the best performance ever
