The ignorance in this thread is over-whelming.
First, the title is misleading, she doesn't say straight out " I DON'T CARE FOR HITS" , she says she enjoys having hit songs, but she mostly cares about her fans enjoyment to the music. Reading is fundamental girls, and I'm sure if you ask any artist from GaGa to Nelly Furtado they'll tell you the same thing.
Secondly, it cost $$$ to get out of a contract, and not just pocket change, I'm talking lawyers and all that jazz. Its not like she can up and quit, she's under contract that she signed with RCA.
Thirdly, Dr. Luke was the one that discovered and signed Ke$ha into HIS label. They've been working together since Ke$ha was about 15. Its not like she seeks him out still, they've been a team before every other artist jumped onto his train.
Fourthly, where is Remixed?

All of this. Most of all number 4. I see DanceForYou (and I also see that he humbly accepted yet another WP for a comment in a K$ thread), but Remixed is being fashionably late I guess.

Ke$ha is signed on with RCA under Dr. Lukes label Kemosabe for 7 albums executively produced by Doctor Luke. She's under damn contract.
Y'all are so transparent and vapid without even being able to CHECK the facts.

But... weren't it 5 albums? Are you sure it's 7?
And one more thing that has to be mentioned:
I'm sure that she cares about being successful to some extent. Not necessarily because she wants to have hits or for whatever other reason just for herself or her own satisfaction, but because a lot of people DEPEND on her having success. She has a band that she loves, she has a management team that as far as I know has remained with her ever since she got one, she has dancers and an entire tour crew that has sticked with her over the past 2+ years etc etc etc. If she lost all relevance and selling power, then they will lose their jobs as well.
I know it may sound far-fetched to some, but knowing her, I'm absolutely sure that she cares a lot about all of them and doesn't want to feel like she's letting them down. It's a big responsibility that she probably realizes and accepts. Parting from her label just to satisfy her own ego and have more say is probably not something she would do, when it would throw most of those people to the dole.
