Because one artist for Week Seven - we'll call her Cloud - has a mostly mediocre to good selection of b-sides and EP cuts.
But she has something - one thing - that is amazing.
It will win next week. Let me go ahead and call that.

I hope you're not talking about Azealia

Let me get this done then! Surely urban-Ga needs help for her her best The Fame track, too.

That is true. How did Cloud even get in the game, was she a cherrypick?

State of Grace - 9
The vocals, the lyrics, the U2 inspiration on this track is everything.
I Tried - 8
Now wait, this song is fantastic. Found a new bop.
While You Wait for the Others - 7
Really didn't think I was going to like this, but I do.
Can't Get You Out of My Head - 6
Perfect pop song, but gets a little annoying to me at times.
The Greatest Hit - 5
Eh, it could've been better, but it's nice.
LoveStoned/I Think She Knows - 4
Well, I found another JT song I could actually get through.
Bad Girls - 3
For some reason this didn't live up to the expectations I had for it. Shame.
Tik Tok - 2
I mean it's catchy, but that's about it.
Just a Dream - 1
This has to be the most boring song of her entire discography.

That song.
It's funny that Charli XCX didn't, considering she actually has an album out.

Selecting AB is type hard, her pre-EP/mixtape days are overlooked and then the good sis 212 is overrated. madonnas are you voting for aquababe?

Brandy, performing I Tried
Was listening to this earlier. Songs that I truly love combine vocals, lyrics, and production to set a mood and tell a story even if the lyrics aren't necessarily given in a forward narrative. This is an amazing example of all this. I Tried is literally the sound of a woman haunted by infidelity. She's angry, jealous, jaded, and complacent all at once. Perfection. - 9
Kylie Minogue, performing Can't Get Christ Out of My Head
This song is magnificent. The bass pulsates as those synths work their way into your subconscious. And Kylie sounds like such a beautiful tease here. If there is a single quintessential female pop song post Ray of Light, it's this. - 8
Justin Timberlake, performing LoveStoned/I Think She Slays
I take back my originally statement promising this song the 9. It's not as flawless as I remember it being back when I was like 13. The lyrics are rather basic (she looks like a model/except she's got a little more ass; she's freaky but I like it). And musically, this track doesn't get interesting until around the 5 minute mark. But when that happens, it gets great. Something about the beat change just sets an amazingly cool atmosphere. It still packs one hell of a punch. And Justin doesn't sound like he's trying too hard with his vocalizations for a change. - 7
M.I.A., performing Bad Girls
Never paid much attention to M.I.A. before, but this song was very cute. I like the Middle Eastern influences I'm hearing. And she just seems badass! Like in a genuine way, not like a certain female pop star with Kool-Aid colored hair. And that video - 6
Taylor Swift, performing State of Grace
Wasn't looking forward to more country-lite material after listening to Carrie's song (**** whoever picked that song, btw), but this wasn't so bad. The music kept me moderately interested, the lyrics were rather nice (a bit touching tbh), and her vocals didn't absolutely kill it for me. - 5
Annie, performing The Greatest Hit
Not even sure if I'm listening to the right version. It's not particularly remarkable in any way. The Madonna sample is cute though, but like someone else said, it only made me wanna go listen to the original. - 4
Grizzly Bear, performing While You Wait for the Others
Nothing about this grabbed my attention. - 3
Ke$ha, performing Tik Tok
Cute when I'm drunk at parties. Otherwise, I don't wanna hear this ****. - 2
Carrie Underwood, performing Just a Snooze
Her vocals are giving me Christina Aguilera tease. And that is NOT a good thing. I'm generally not here for country music, but GOD this song is boring. - negative 0

Amy won last time, so she's sitting this game out.
Lana didn't get enough votes to make it into the game this year, although that could change.

Speaking of Charli, her album was mildly disappointing. I only liked one of the songs that we hadn't heard before, lol.

As much as I love "212", I refused to vote for it. Time to give something else some recognition.

At the time of initial voting though, she didn't. The album was kind of disappointing too, it already sounds old. I agree with madonnas.

Brandy, performing I Tried: 9
From beginning to end—foghorn bass to unexpected organ riff, and all the haunting violins, staccato handclaps and simmering vocals in between—Brandy and Timbaland craft an intoxicating, infectious symphony of rage.
Kylie Minogue, performing Can't Get You Out of My Head: 8
Just as impressively forward-thinking as it was in 2001. What strikes me newly in 2013 is how strangely beautiful the song's slinky hypnotism is.
Justin Timberlake, performing LoveStoned/I Think She Knows: 7
It's disappointing that no one else ever capitalized on the promise FutureSex/LoveSounds showed in melding dance music with urban swagger. The "I Think She Knows" outro may be the greatest thing JT has ever done.
Grizzly Bear, performing While You Wait for the Others: 6
Those explosions of lilting harmonies are to die for, but this leans slightly more toward good mood music than great song.
Annie, performing The Greatest Hit: 5
A real slow burner. The retro flavor and oozing sexuality are easy to overlook, but its charms only grow with repeated listens.
M.I.A., performing Bad Girls: 4
Has more awesome hooks than anything else playing this week, but is somehow less exciting than the sum of its parts.
Ke$ha, performing Tik Tok: 3
Patrick's right; this feels like the debut single of a new artist fully formed. Unfortunately, the essence of Ke$ha is better expressed in "Party at a Rich Dude's House"—a pop masterpiece sadly never released for general consumption.
Taylor Swift, performing State of Grace: 2
The main appeal of Taylor Swift's music—and the root of its polarizing nature—is that it's so very much her. She's not just the star of any given track, she's the auteur. So I find it odd that her fans seem to have elected "State of Grace" to be her new signature song, because it's the rare entry in her discography that relegates her to supporting player. The sweeping drama simply eclipses Taylor; it's as though she can't quite carry it, so it carries her along instead. I like the song well enough, but from about the same distance that Taylor seems to be singing it.
Carrie Underwood, performing Just a Dream: 1
Yikes. Did the Taylor stans pick this one?

Oh and for Gaga, I hope Paparazzi is the chosen song. I'm impatient for Kimbra's turn.
