NOOOOO this is the only good song on 21 it's by far her best vocally too and the melody is very beautiful
the only thing that stops it from being a 10 are the awful lyrics
Synopsis:
In the next to last track of It's Not Me, It's You, Lily makes many odd references over mid-tempo synths and a sleepy guitar. Apparently the song is an allusion to God, however the point Lily tries to make gets fuzzy with many questionable lyrics like "do you think his favorite type of human is Caucasian?" and "long before last September, long before hijacking planes". It seems as though Lily is trying to make cutesy rhymes while attacking society and questioning God in the lyrics. Overall, it makes sense why this is her second song out.
Voter Response:
"Him" and "He Wasn't There" were always Lily's bottom two tracks in the countdown. "Him" received a few scores below a five, but many scores in the 6 to 8 range. It managed to avoid the bottom seven and place in the top 30 because of this, however, it becomes the last track to miss an average of at least a seven.
