BREAKING NEWS// Jennifer Lopez has moved to RedOne’s imprint at Steve Barnett’s Capitol Music Group. There’s an early buzz surrounding the RedOne-produced first single, “Live It Up.”…
But see Jen signed a THREE album contract with Island Def Jam. I think she asked to be released from her contract.
Dance Again... The Hits was a joint venture between Epic and IDJ. I think L.A. Reid had a lot to do with that considering he signed her at IDJ, and is the label head at Epic now. Dance Again was released by Epic, and Goin' In by IDJ.
This is a smart move on her behalf. L.A. Reid handled the releases of On The Floor and Dance Again. The new label head handled the release of all subsequent singles (I'm Into You, Papi, and Goin' In) and we all saw how those fared when they should'nt have tanked the way they did.
Hopefully RedOne and the Capitol label head know exactly what they're doing.
