Our HW is posted online on a website, so I just say the website wasn't working.

I either "left it at home" or blame technology.

I can't do that anymore since I'm in college

But in Highschool(especially with the female teachers and the really old teachers) I just said I emailed it to them if it was a paper or something that I didn't do... or just say I left it at my other parents house and make them feel guilty that my parents are divorced so they drop it and I bring it in the next day

One time I tried to use the "My printer wasn't working" excuse and my teacher hit me back with a "Why didn't you just write it out by hand then?" and I had nothing to respond back with

Turn in another paper and the next day when they tell you say "oh, sorry! Here's the right one" and hand it in. Gives you an extra day!

Use the time and date excuse

If the deadline will be on wednesday, april 24
Just pretend that "was our homework supposed to be passed on thursday?" Omg i forgot about the date but dont worry maam cuz i already made it, i'll just it later in the afternoon"

"AT&T didnt come and fox my internet in time"
"My computer was updating & still was when i woke up"
"I had a fever" or
"I had a funeral to go to" tbh.
They always work.

I sent an emotional and hysteric email to one of my professors after not being able to finish an essay saying I was feeling so overwhelmed and didn't know what to do and he felt so bad he gave me extensions on the rest of my assignments for the semester It was kind of true though...

I think it works better in college though where you generally don't have to see them every day. I'd feel really awkward if I did that with a high school teacher and having to face them for the rest of the year.

!!! In college works every single time + you can use the tricks, in my case for Blackboard, to upload the assignments later.

Once in 10th grade English, I accidentally left my assignment at home and because I had a record as such a perfect student, the whole class was shocked. My teacher felt so bad she gave me credit anyway. By the end of high school I didn't have to do any HW if I didn't want to tbh, my teachers never even bothered checking

Oh and just the other day I accidentally sent an email to my sociology professor saying "my paper is attached" but I accidentally forgot to attach it She was nice and didn't take off any points though when I finally noticed my mistake and sent it to her the next morning.

I don't think I've ever lied about homework. But I've lied about missing/being late to class. I remember telling my teacher I fell down that stairs on my way to class and that's why I was late.

When I was younger I would rip out the page that had the assignment and and say that it was missing.
