The past few months I've been writing songs and I find it very therapeutic. The songs kind of just come to me out of thin air, and I type them all down in a split second to help me remember them. I look back at them and I think to myself "wow, this is pretty good!" Do you write songs and have moments like this? What genre are most of your songs?

yep, I have for 3 and a half years now. Sometimes they just come to me in flashes of inspiration, but most of the time I write multiple drafts of a song or write it bit by bit.

Yes!! I have 500+ songs written. I write my songs with a melody in my head, then I put together on my guitar. But yes it can be very therapeutic. Genres I've done pop/rock/dance/hip hop

Yeah in class when I'm bored I write songs. I don't have them all together, but they are all in my notebooks that I used for my classes!

Songwriting has gotten me through so much especially the depression I faced last year. It's actually what I wanna do for a living and I've met some industry people from it. I've been writing since I was a little kid. My work started out R&B and a some pop, but lately my writing has grown so much, and I find myself writing rock (or rock tinged) songs. I've even done some country.

I used to. And I sucked at it but it was fun and everyone in a while I had a really awesome chorus or atleast melody but I haven't really wrote for atleast over a half a year. I need to start doing it again cause I miss it

Yeah I've been writing for just over a year now, I love writing my own music because it means I can play on my voice's strengths more and I also actually have a connection to the lyrics on a really personal level. I wrote a song the other day called "Doing It My Way" and it literally just tells my life story about how everyone has always just tried to bring me down but how I've risen above it. It was such a therapeutic experience writing it because it discussed things I'd never written about before.
