I think it's potentially just the freakiest coincidence ever - given the $25+ million in refunded tour tickets. I don't know if Interscope would let that much go for the sake of transforming the Paparazzi video into a pop culture prophecy.

Realy crazy either way. The Paparazzi video even has hidden allusions to Jo Calderone and allegedly BTW (with a triangle in the paper, as triangles were prominently featured during the era in reference to the LGBT community).

It's more of she knows how being famous works. The people want to build you up and then break you down(ala inspiring her performances hence the VMA performance and Paparazzi here)

So it wouldn't be that hard for her to predict/tell a story like this I guess.

I think they're just really creepy coincidences. HOWEVER, I do think Gaga is very smart and knew that she was going to hit a low point at some point when she noticed that she was rising so high into fame, which is why I think she had the Paparazzi video allude to so many aspects of her career.

I really do think that, like the message at the end of the video, she's going to return to the top and this time with her new album, ARTPOP.

If this actually ends up being something she actually staged, it would be one of the greatest and most intelligent things ever, to be honest.

Although I do hope the killing her boyfriend part doesn't actually happen. Taylor has been good to her.

If Gaga could pull this off without being tacky and overexposed I would love and begin stanning for her.

But what I really find creepy is how the headline in real life is exactly like the headline in the video.

Besides, the narrative of the Paparazzi follows a pretty common trope of celebrity culture that Gaga was obviously making a comment on with the video. The story of the starlet who gets famous, gets **** on at her peak, then climbs back up to popularity is nothing new or even unusual. The specific details (the wheelchair) is just a coincidence.

I mean it's one thing to consider the girl relatively smart for wanting to discuss celebrity downfall in her debut album, but it's another thing to think she either prophesied all this or that she intentionally sabotaged herself to reenact her own music video.
