Erotica. It has this hazy, underground club, and somewhat dark vibe to it. The whole SEX thing overshadowed the music. That doesn't mean I don't like SEX though. I would've loved it back in the day compared to most peeps. A backlash like that in the ignorant 90's was bound to happen anyway. She was at a very high peak. This was her big '**** You' to basically everyone. No one thought she could make more daring and unfriendly pop music and yet she did. She was also very avant-garde in all of her videos, performances, and promos. The most artsy, theatrical, and high fashion era. It's like when Lady Gaga became huge, but M did it for just one era. Even now when I think about it, Bedtime Stories should've been the backlash for being too soft and making ****ing Mariah/Whitney-like music (but still being better at it of course). The ONLY downside to Erotica is that it's sometimes a bit too long. Even without the horrible mess called 'Did You Do It?'. Yuck.
Best lyric:
"I just wish I knew the color of my hair"
Best song:
Deeper and Deeper. The video is even better. Props to the ones that get it.

No one gives a **** about sales and charts now. You people need to stop trying to impress people with numbers. GTFO with that. We're talking about what is the best album considering the quality, production, concept and lyrics on it. COAD is overrated and an easy pick for any generic gay male. While still being danceable, it's soulless and tacky. The tour is alright though, but a lil Kylie Minogue-esque for my taste.
I know it seems typical to choose the most critically acclaimed one, but it's literally the closest thing to perfection that I have ever heard in pop music.
